St. Lawrence Choir is always seeking new members. Our rehearsal and concert schedules are challenging and regular participation is essential for the highest level of excellence that we strive for. Our reward is the privilege to perform with some of the finest musical talents in the world.

Rehearsals take place at Notre Dame de Grace church (5333 Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Ave., in NDG) on Wednesday nights, 7-9:30 p.m., and occasionally on weekends and other evenings. Extra rehearsal times are especially concentrated before concerts with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra.

2009-2010 Membership fees for the choir are $210 ($150 for students/unemployed).

Auditions are held annually in late August or early September, though it is possible to schedule individual auditions at any time.

- Auditions are a cappella.
- Prepare a short (about one minute) song of your choice (aria, popular song, folk song, hymn...)
- Sight Reading - there will be a selection of different choral pieces (different styles, different languages, various levels of difficulty), you will sight-read your specific voice part
- Specific vocal tests - range, timbre, intonation, dynamics, flexibility
